Looks pretty straight forward to me. They all do the same thing, so as long as the filter is outside the engine compartment, they are true cold air intakes. My K&N was about the same price. Says it has a reusable filter as well.

I don't like the bend in the intake.

Looks no different than my K & N really, but about $40 cheaper. I'd probably buy a more reputable branded filter though, either K & N, AEM, or Spectre. Other than that, I'd buy it.

I'd trya nd find a straighter one, those bends and indentions will cause air turbulance. I've never seen that before and that tells me it isn't popular, and there's probalby a reason for that.

get a smooth elbow, the stock elbow also creates a lot of wind turbulence and weakens the flow of air. i had a factory elbow on my 3.4 with a CAI, put a smooth elbow and noticed better throttle response and a greater "throw you back in your seat" effect.

I've always been a fan of the metal SLP CAI's.

I've got the metal SLP CAI and blackwing high-flow filter on my car. They've definitely helped my airflow/throttle response and MPGs (24 city w/ a 3.8). And I still have the stock airlid and air silencer.
