Smile What's the difference in "Limited Edition"?

I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 LS1 6spd with T-Top & all power, but I have NOT been able to find out what the "Limited Edition" emblem means as pertains to my car... Any thoughts?

Might want to check your RPO codes? Is it a LE1? the only limited edition I know of in 98 is a white SS rag top pace car.

According to the "Camaro White Book", there were 99 1LE Camaros built in 1998. Of these, there were 3 SS six speeds, one black, one silver and one navy blue. I'm not aware of any car coming from the factory as a Limited Edition. Can you post a picture of the emblem your referring to?

Even the Brickyard Camaros were not an actual factory limited edition model. They were just a base model SS with a graphics package installed at the track that was used for the race events. All but twelve had the graphics removed after the race.

This was the add I found when I searched limited edition. It say its #26. I could find nothing on a limited edition replacement badge for 1998. Got to wonder if it is just a case of someone adding a badge.

Yeah, this is Car #26, one of the 50 convertibles used at the Brickyard 400 in 1998. Twenty of these cars were taken to the Bristol Race at the end of August that year, which is why you see the Bristol graphics on the door. GM hired a company to oversee the cars while in Indianapolis. They assigned the numbers to the cars to identify them for record keeping purposes. A person couldn't go to a dealership and order one of these cars. They would have had to found one on a lot after the race.

Some one more than likely added the badge. No fourth gen Camaro to my knowledge ever came with a badge that said "Limited Edition". RS, Z28, and SS are the only badges

Many thanks to you all for your response!!!!! Re the suggestion about submitting a photo, I would love to do so, however, I'm not much at all familiar with how to do so... I will try to figure it out, but, in case I can't, THANKS AGAIN!!
