The SS has the hood with functional ram air, a nicer spoiler, and nicer rims. Also I think there are year-specific differences.

Engine, supension and exterior mods made by SLP after stock Z28s were shipped to them from GMs assembly plant. Also a few thousand dollars more added to the sticker price. A better looking car then stock Z28. My opinion.

No internal engine modifications were made, unless you have one of the very few '97 LT4 SS cars. The modifications were almost all exterior, hood, spoiler and wheels. The hood included the functional ram-air. They were advertised with more HP, although track times have proven that the "ram-air" really does nothing more than a cold air intake would get you in the 1/4 mile, and in all actuality the "ram" effect doesn't even work unless you're going at least 75 mph. There were options to get a better suspension via SLP, so the options do vary from car to car. Search this in the Z28/SS section, it's been discussed multiple times...

just to clear some things up before questions start. As far as Horse Power goes,

SS = Z28 = WS6 = T/A

They all have 350 bhp, and were rated at less to make it look farther away from the vette.

That's true if it's an LS1, but the LT1 SS models did have slightly higher HP numbers due to the freer flowing intake.
