I think he's talking about the vent/vent cap that's on top of the rear differential center section.

It's also called an axle breather. Plastic tube, with a shank ring, presses into the hole, with a plastic cap that snaps on top.
Kinda like this: Axle Breather but this isn't your application. Did you check the "Help" rack at the parts store?

Might have to go to the dealership then, if no parts store carries it. What happened, did you snap the old one off? A good cleaning and crazy glue, or JB Weld could fix that.

 

i pulled it out because theres a layer of dirt on the topside of the diff, so i figured since this vent didnt get to do its job thats why the seal went. inside of the vent is pretty plugged up too and cant seem to get it apart, it doesnt look broken, but i figured its better to just swap it with a fresh new one. i`ll try to take a pic tonight for all of your viewing pleasure
