I have been thinking about another 4 gen project. As some of you may know I did a small V6 project as a comuter car cause I was driving 120 a day. I have moved close to work and I am now doing 55 miles a day. Anyway I saw this add and I would like some opinion on what the car is worth. I was thinking I would offer 3K.

I would probably hit him more in the $2's, considering you're going to pay more than you offer unless he's a desperate seller. There is a nice looking 96 Z28 convertible for sale in my town by a private owner, black, 6 speed, 106k miles (with an unbroken timing chain). Asking price $4,900. I'm sure I'd get it for close to $4k if I wanted it. What's your time worth, plus parts?

$2200 gotta take age into consideration too.. if the clock has 104k and the engine was already rebuilt, the car had to be abused, how long more will it be until you have to rebuild the tranny?
