Ok, to the OP: I've heard that Pacesetter's fit well on the LS1 (mainly from Spec), but I would still encourage you to go for maybe one step up such as Dynatech. They aren't quite Kooks, but they're close.

To the Thread Jacker (aka 19camaro94) : I've heard a lot of good things about the Lloyd Elliot package. It's good to have your heads and your cam matched and they do that, so that's good. 350-380 RWHP is doable with a bolt-ons and a head/cam package on an LT1. 450 RWHP is going to require bolt-ons, a head/cam package and a 383 stroker kit or some nitrous.

[sm=teetertooter.gif] here we go again [8D]

slvr is technically right. it all depends on the money you want to spend. the price gap ive seen between pacesetter and a competiter is about $200 bucks. For that we are talking about a difference in about 5 hp, to 10 hp if you go all out and get kooks or something really good. You have the satisfaction of saying you have the best there is, and that you have a little hp advantage over someone else with headers, but you can end up paying almost 2x the ammount. Its really up to you though and what you want for this car. I can tell you though, if i had deeper pockets there would be kooks on my car instead of pacesetters

People have to hate us for this Spec
Maybe someday you can upgrade to a nice set of Kooks, I'm hoping you do!

My recomendation is to do it right the first time, but we all have different spending habits and saving abilities, so it's really up to you to make the final call, I'm just trying to give some food for thought. Or torque for thought [8D]

are you just looking for dyno numbers or quarter times? in my opinion, what's the point of having a ton of power that you can't get to the ground? if it were me...i'd do the breathing first no question, then probably cam it with all the necessities, then i'd do my suspension and get a good torque converter such as yank or vigilante, and you just spent 3500 in just parts. you'd be surprised how far that will get you in the quarter
