x3 for crappy frams. Don't use them, you will regret it. Purolator, STP, Mobil 1- there are a lot of good filters out there, but frams are the only filters I have heard bad things about.
What kind of synthetic do you guys usually run?
Is there a way to tell synthetic apart from conventional? I have the same dilemma with my 95 Z28 since the previous owner traded it in.

i use an ac delco filter and either mobil 1 synthetic or castrol gtx. usually the mobil 1 bc i get it realy cheap at my dealership. the only way i know is that synthetic is thinner and more clear(like see through) to me than conventional

Ams oil as Mobil has removed their add packs recently. Gm filter, or any Purolator like a napa gold, or carquest blue is good.

Oh new here........where do I got to introduce myself?

Those would be Affinia Wix. Purolator is Champ Labs (as is Mobil One, K&N, STP, AC Delco, and certain Bosch Filters.) Stay away from the ones that have a plastic core.
