Did I miss the answer to the two questions about the car throwing any codes or lights? Been scanned? Or is it too old?

Not all codes ight the trouble lamp. Most part store employees only know what they know, and don't know what they don't know.

As Donald Rumsfeld once said "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know." lol

Your goggle/burgle/burble/belch...or what ever it is , probably a loose cat sheild. They make noise at weird times. Fords used to be bad about the sheilds rattling.

Someone explain this to me...

Drove around in "drive" and no gurgle or jerking.

Seems to only do it in over drive.

Why are you driving around in overdrive?

Overdrive is a separate gear in the tran. When in overdrive the driveshaft spins faster then the crankshaft, rpms will drop yet you go the same speed. Good for your fuel economy but bad for the power/torque.

May be something wrong with the gears then.

Cause I was told to keep it in over drive unless im going at slow speeds. To help save gas and over drive is easier on the transmission. Ever since I got it in january I kep.it in over drive.

Was I told wrong??
