Default What happened?!?!

So I had an idiot in front of me stop on the on ramp of the highway. So when it was my turn to merge from 0, I mashed it to the floor. Well at the top of 1st gear (auto LT1), it stalled and came back on about 3-5 seconds after that. It was still in drive, still had power steering, and didn't even turn the key to start it back up, it did it itself. It only happened this one time and I tried to duplicate it afterwards and I couldn't. Not sure at all what it could be, but I hope it's not an underlying future problem.

If your gas in the tank is way low or on fumes, it may have sloshed away from the pump and momentarily starved out.

and you can push start an automatic... you just need to get the car moving like around 30-40 mph to make it happen. You could have starved it for fuel like 69 said and the push from your speed was enough to restart the engine... It could have happened!

Yeah that may have been it. The on ramp to the highway was an uphill and I was at about 1/4 tank. It was just the weirdest thing though, like it just fell on its face and came right back. I've never seen that before. Thanks guys!
