I am fixing to get some new rims on my 99 z28. I currently have gunmetal gray SS rims on it now. My car is white with a black top and black mirrors. I want the C5 corvette z06 rims but i am not sure if i want black or crome. What do you guys think would look the best??? thanks robert

 

My personal opinion would be to go with chrome. I think the black ones look better on a black or red car.

 

I like the contrast of the black wheels on a white car; personally I say go with black.

 

id only put black rims on a black car. chrome everything else.... and really, i would only do a black fbody or corvette. any other black car should have chrome rims too IMO.

ask in off topic for some photo shops of the rims ur looking at on your car. this forum really needs a chop shop.....

as for z06 rims they have tons of styles all with the 10 spoke pattern. you can get black, black w chrome lip, black w chrome rivets, gun metal, black chrome, chrome, hyper chrome, and so on.

but they dont have black chrome.. lol which sucks. i dont like the loks of chrome on white. but black on white isnt much better either. out of those 2 choices. i'd do black. least itll match the top and mirrors, and interior?

 

they do have black chrome. My buddy had a set of black chrome rims on his mach.

top picture has his mach with the black chrome mach1 wheels. hard to tell in the picture, but they were very um.... reflective? just like chrome, but had a definite black tinge to them. like really dark glass. hard to explain. but definitly not black wheels, cuz thats what I have, his were like a mirror.

 

yea. black chrome is awesome, seen them use it alot on american choppers. and it jus looks sick. but i ment black chrme in the corvette rims.

 

oh. yeah, not sure if they have that or not. doesnt mean u couldnt get it from a replica warehouse
