what do I need to replace for my clutch?
I did do a search and I just got even more confused. So my clutch is disengaging about 1/2 inch from the top (not the floor) so I take Mary Sue to the mechanic to get her clutch adjusted, turns out she has a hydrolic clutch and it will need to be replaced soon, she isn't slipping at the moment. So I am doing research on clutchs and I came across https://camaroforums.com/m_33610/tm.htmwhich helped alot, but the problem is I don't understand exactly what needs to be replaced, is it just the master cylinder I need or is it a kit, and what comes in a kit, so I talked to my mechanic and he started talking about fingers and prongs and shattering, which all made sense untill I realized I didn't know what this part he is talking about did or what it looked like or what it was called.... Mary Sue is a 99 5 speed, can you please help me? Please use idiot words, or even pictures, Thank you so very much.

I did some VIN research and I have a L36, does that just apply to the engine or to everything under the hood, because I can find alot of info on LS1 clutchs and installs, but I don't know if they are relavent. Thank you again

http://www.autozone.com/R,APP351037/...ductDetail.htm
Found this on autozone.com
a clutch set is the best choice for replacing a clutch because they are matched.
call a local parts store and ask, they can answer questions for free usually.

you need a clutch kit which includes, new clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bushing, the flywheel will have to also be resurfaced. clutch kit cost about $200 from an auto parts store, flywheel resurface goes for around $50

So I don't need a clutch cylinder? and thank you very much for the pictures and the list. As for the local pep boys and autozones, they are all idiots in there. I ask them for something and they say "We don't have them" what do you mean you don't have floor mats??? But anyway, Thank you very much. When you put in a clutch you have to worry about torgue, right?
