Okay, if you insist;
I park mine on side driveway with battery tender on it.
I read the plug-in voltmeter on battery charge.

hey cool same hear i want to bring the car in for inspection an dont want the battery going dead in the next few weeks only reason its on a tender, so now we got something to talk about

,my other car 95 is in storage with the battery pos cable unhooked all winter for years ??? it always starts in the spring time average 4 months,so i guess i wonder why you keep on tender all winter ,i just dont want mine to fail the inspection,i also have had batteries last me 7 to 8 years average

i know its a personal choice too ,but i dont like wasteing electric is my thought,,some put the battery in there basement saying it keeps the battery warm,,plus i have used walmart batteries for years an had them last atleast the 5 years, great sucsess with that, an then know some keep there car on a tender all the time when not driveing it winter summer so on,next week in the 40 s all week in early feb is a good sign of an early spring i hope

thoughts ??

One reason keeping charger on battery is keep a charge on it.
Also, freezing temps, battery loses half its charge.
If battery is disconnected, radio and clock need reset, plus ECM/PCM will relearn on next start-up, it loses memory as to the engine info it has learned.
Also, I've had good luck in battery life, 10 years min, with Interstate.
People have said, no need in isolating a battery on a concrete floor due to technology, but I place a piece of wood under battery, if I store one.
As the old saying goes "Use it, or lose it."

Forgot to add - Wally Mart sells a Schumacher Battery Maintainer for $10 - best investment I've made in keeping batteries, I have three of them, charged.
Of course, later battery chargers have a 2 AMP position and can be used for same function.

I got title transfer taken care of yesterday. Damn State of Texas charged me a $250 fee for not transferring it for almost a year after I bought it. Dang thing wasn't even driveable when I bought it. So $498 later, I have a title coming in the mail.

well i guess i did not worry to much about it with the 406.never did a tune to the lt1,so now i see why if you did a tune would lose that info i just have one of the those little trickle chargers works great,started up the car today for 15 minutes was warm 40,

one thing i seem to note about eh ls1 stock in the engine is louder then the exhaust though when you first fire it up sounds good ,or under throttle
