Default What can I get in private sale?

Anyone have a clue what I might be able to get selling my 1996 Z28 privately?

Its in excellent condition, no rust or dings and the only real issues are it needs to air conditioner recharged, small crack in the dash thats barely noticeable in the middle near where the venting comes out, other then that... the car is pretty solid.

Had the trans replaced 3 yrs ago along with a lot of other work (though with moving I lost receipts). But currently this is what is installed:

110k miles:

1996 Z-28 SS Rear Spoiler
17inch 2000 Z-28 SS Rims
1968 Z-28 Side Emblems

2009 was two years ago?

Is time on your side? Can you start high then lower as needed. Automatic Lt1's are not doing so great and you just missed the spring time buying frenzy. Where you are at will dictate a lot of the value. Your going to have to reseach Ebay and Craigs list in your area (maybe 100 miles or so around). We have seen a lot of variation in values across the US. It gets nuts outside the US.

As a general rule they drop the value. Everyone assumes if it has racing parts on it someone has been racing it. Even saying you put a new trans in there car hurt. First thing people thinks is "whats he been doing to it". Dealships will go out of their way to make sure you can not tell a car was just repaired. They want the "It has never been a problem since new image" on their cars. To bad these day you can look up online what has been done to your car. At least I car with my 2011.
