wow you all are so negative maybe i should say that i bought my camaro for under a grand, have access to a place to work on the car with all the tools and won't be charged for it... i guess i could go to a pick and pull with a few strong people and take what i need for 50 bucks....

50 bucks? That might get you a throttle body, and they just may throw in the air cleaner to go with it. Read the sticky, add up the value of all the parts for what you think you need, then double it. That should get you close.

Read the sticky. Follow the links.
For every 1000 people we have that say they are going to do it. We have maybe 1 that does it once they see what is involved. Most of those people that have completed it are the first to chime in “it aint worth it”. We get one or two that start that project every month or show up here after they have started it. Those who have the experience that is needed for this project do not ask questions on websites, they just do a little research and realize very quickly it’s not worth it. You can buy and rebuild a Z28 in half the time with half the cost of converting a V6.
As for fitting a non Camaro engine in there. Well read the sticky that is covered at the end.
