Weird light staying on! On the dash/gauges
Alright well I was driving my mom to the bank and she pointed out that I had a red light coming on which I didn't notice! Anyways it's not a normal sign for anything but it looks like waves of water in a box with a arrow pointing at the waves of water lol it makes no damn since but I attached picture, and as you can see its the light rite below the 6-7 rpm ange maybe 1-2inches down. Plz help me I don't wanna hurt it, and my coolant level is full

ok well apparently I cant post the picture but it you go turn your key to where your lights all come on then you will see the light rite under the 6-7rpm range.... It would only take a few seconds and would help me out a lot, thanks.

Ok well I found out that it's a low coolant level light.... But my coolant is filled to the top and the other day it needed like a bottle of water to top it back off but I cleaned the overflow tank and lines out today and it didn't loose any coolant and still fine so what the heck does it need to be bled out???
Oh and my temp doesn't even hit over 180F so if it had low coolant wouldn't th temp go up and my motor seize or what happens?

The coolant sensor on the radiator is know to act up with our cars and throw a low coolant light. If you've visually verified that the level in the radiator is appropriate and you aren't over heating, you can either replace the sensor or just let it be. Just be sure to check the level every now and again. You may just need to add a little here and there to fill the whole system.

Try to get in the habit of quickly scanning the gauges periodically, you could save your engine from catastrophic failure one day if there's a serious problem.

If the light bothers you and you can't replace the sensor in the radiator soon, you can just unplug the cable at the sensor. Is is on the side next to the battery.
The sensor has a tendency to leak coolant inside it and short out the electronics. It is not repairable but is easy to replace.
