i found a thread that said there are two. they talked about the one that i replaced thats under the throttle body and that there is one at the head like ur talking about. i couldnt find the one near the head. do i have to take anything off to find it?

im not finding it either. test the sensor to see if its working. use ohm meter.

yep see what the sensor is saying to your system. if you have access to a scanner and it has ability to see readouts you can check and see what temp your computer is seeing.

I do believe your engine has a combination temperature sensor/temperature gauge sending unit, where other engines have separate ones for the computer and for the gauge. Could be your gauge is just bad, or there's a broken wire leading to the gauge cluster. Does the gauge do nothing at all, or just inaccurate? Does your cooling fan go on right away, or is that working normally?

yea thats what i heard. i replaced the sensor and i didnt fix it. i cant find the sending unit they say its near the heads on driver side. all the other gauges work in the cluster. the temp gauge is dead and dosnt move at all. and my cooling fan works normal. it dosnt come on when i start my car.
