Question Water in Front Signal Housing, Solution?

Anyone else have water entering your front Running Light/Turn Signal Housing? What solution did you come up with? I have to imagine water is entering through the seal around the bulb -- not sure where else it could leak in. Too bad it's a PITA to remove the housing -- else I would have done more already.

Would it be a bad idea to drill a hole in the bottom of the housing to prevent this in the future?

usually its the front lens seal. you may be able to put some water in it after its out and see if it leaks out anywhere other than the bulb hole.

I have used the drill method several times with no ill effect. Nothing bigger than 1/16" at lowest part of lens.

Where I work I have access to an industrial heater so I removed the lens and let it dry then I used plumbing silicon around the lens and it turned out I was missing the gasket for the turn signal

Yea, heard about the rice trick... So who has the most expedient way to remove the housing? ;-) It's a contest -- shortest removal procedure that does not involve destroying things wins!

Go in from the top. Remove the headlight and it will take you no joke no more than 5 min to remove the housing

^ Hmm, did not look like enough room -- heck, I broke skin going in from the top just trying to replace the main bulb...
