Default Waht´s the corst of a Camaro in the US?

Just gor qurious of how big diference in price there is of a gen.4 in US and here in Sweden.

So wath´s the price of say a -98 V6?
I payd abaut $6700 for my -98 V6 with 16.000 miles on it. Here in Sweden that is a realy good price for one as the most of them cost around $8600. Then the prices just go up when you want a Z28 and even more for a SS. There is a -00 SS for sale now that he´s asking just under 22k$ for.

So how big is the diferenses between our countrys?

With 16.000 miles on it $6700 USD is about right retail (meaning from a dealer) A Very low miles SS can sell for $16000-20000 USD. If it is a special edition in perfect condition $22000 is not far off.

Okey Thought that it would be a bigger diference Was thinking that if the diference was bigger I would import a SS next whinter but if the prices are almost the same it might be a better deal to buy one here in sweden.

I know that American cars are very popular in Sweden but just how much of the vehicle population are they? 5%? Probably not even that high.
I mean, how many do you see on the road on any given day?

Keep in mind, that retail is what we pay if we buy from a car dealer. Over here you can find 4th Gens all over the place from private party sellers. I got my '94 Z28 for $4,000 USD (Blue Book value is $6,770 which is the minimum a dealer would charge) from a private party seller.

Also, there are regional differences here in the US that you probably don't have in Sweden. Case in point:

Code:

                 Where I Live Miami, FL
'94 Z28 $6,770 $6,545
'00 Z28 $6,675 $6,375
'00 Z28 SS $8,175 $7,875
Your Car $8,085 $7,860
That above prices are from the KBB.com site and reflect general prices in an area (figuring in stock configuration and general mileage for a car of that age). Custom accessories and very low mileage (or very high mileage) can greatly affect the retail price of the car.

I would say that unless the 2000 Z28 SS was in mint condition with less than 20K miles on it, there is no way that you would pay that much here in the US (completely stock car). Now, if you are looking for a modded car, then there really is no standard way to determine what the fair market value would be.

Also, you need to consider the cost of shipping and importing the car into Sweden from the US. I have no idea how much that costs, but I know that in some European countries it can be very pricey to import a foreign auto.

Agreed... I just picked up my 94 z-28 convertable for 4k from a private party. 90k miles, and everything is stock and in good shape... I get compliments on it all the time. Alot of it depends on where you are looking, and waiting for the right deal.

weird that the 94 is worth a little more than the 2000

I put in the information from my '94, which is stock but with only 82000 miles.

If you enter a completely stock '94 Z28 in my area, with the 160000 miles the KBB defaults you get an estimated retail value of $4585. Mine had about half that.

The completely stock '00 Z28 defaults with 126000 miles.

That is why I mentioned that high or low mileage for a given year can really affect the estimated retail value.

At any rate, I can't imagine how pristine a '00 Z28 SS would have to be to rate a $20K price. I don't think that if you got one with every single factory option it would be worth more than about $10-12K, and that would have to be in near new condition.

Okey. How about the 35th aniversery cars then? It´s one of those I would want the most. but If I can´t find one to att good price I vill get a silver SS with dark gray 35th stripes

A easy way to calculate how mutch the car will gost here in sweden is tp count on 10SEK (swedish kronor.) for every dollar. Then you have the shiping and more or less all of the other expences coverd Right now one swedish krona is worth 0,14 dollar
