VSS. No speedometer. Hard cold start.
I have a 1995 camaro 3.4l base model. Pack Rats chewed the wires on the harness junction. I hard wired the wires. No shifting. Seems in limp mode. Check engine light is on. Anyone have a solution. I had this vehichle running and have installed 3 VSS sensors. Also rewired the sensor above the starter. no luck.

Have you pulled the codes yet? It might give you a clue. Speed sensor by itself won't put the car in LHM. When the speed sensor does not work then the PCM does not know the car is moving. The car not moving is not an error.
I had a 96 with this a completely failed speed sensor a while ago, no check engine light at all. It just would not come out of first gear.
