I have a V6 camaro that I would love to convert to an lt/ls1. First, is that possible? and if it is what else would I need to change out besides the computer and tranny? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

 

Its possible, but like many people have said before. If you have a 4th gen, its going to be easier & cheaper to just sell the V6 and get a V8. Now, if you want to make it worth it and have somthing truly unique. Get an LS2, LS6 or maybe a big block and put it in there. That is were you would want to do an engine swap.

 

Anythings possible.. But its not an easy swap... you'll need the complete wiring harness, computer, and instrument cluster from the doner car. Plus I've been told that you'll have to upgrade your springs. Its very expensive and time consuming and probably is alot easier to sell your V6 car and buy a Z28... but then, what the fun in that.. I say you dive in head first... Just let me know how it turns out.

I'm actually leaning more towards a carb'dcrate motor.. Its alot easier swap. I say that but I've yet to run across anyone who's done it.. Maybe I'll be the first... Or maybe you can be!!!
