New here, yes another guy wanting to 6 to 8 want to know what all is intaled have a 95 camaro and a 94 caprice x cop car for the doner want to know if this doner will work ecm harnes est i am thinking i will make the engine and trans mounts but need to know if the harness will just plug in i dont want to get to deep in to it and it costing a $$$ the camaro has a built 6 in it now kinda sounds like a 8 at idel lopes good plan on selling the all that when done

 

I don't think it's a '94 if it has the police package. iirc, they stopped doing that for this generation caprice in '93.

 

Agghh...can we work on some punctuation, the easier your post is to read the more responses you'll get. That said, if you're doing a V6 to V8 swap you need to have a full V8 donor Camaro if you're going to get everything right. Most people (including me) will recommend saving up for a Z28 or SS instead of doing the swap, it's not easy and it's not cheap.

 

Not going to happen, You need the front K frame member but that is just one thing. Go find a LT1 camaro and look at how that motor is shoe horned in. Every bracket every mount, All the accesories, part of the anti lock brakes system and entire power steering all camaro only parts also your complete intake system air box to intake gasket. Your caprice would be a great upgrade to a 3rd gen but it will be a nitemare to put that in 4th gen unless you had a 5.7 camaro doner car with a blown motor. That you might find cheap.

 

I agree. You are better off buying a V8 car and selling the 6. Unless you feel particularly adventurous and have a bunch of money to throw at it.
