I noticed when I had the car on the lift doing the motor I saw a couple spots I just wire brushed them clean and shot some 3m undercoating on them. When I do the rear end and exhuast maybe tomorrow I am going to clean up and do the whole bottom of the car.

Hit it with a wire brush spray on some rust converter then get some Eastwood encapsulator from www.eastwoodco.com. The repair would most likely out last the rest of the car. Of course, that assumes the rust if surface rust and not rust peeking thru from the top side of the floor board.

Gorn that stuff from eastwood works great that is the best way to do it just takes longer and more expensive. Like he mentioned make sure the rust is not from the inside working out if so then you will have to remove interior and start cutting and patching the holes.

mine had a it of surface rust undernieth too, but man it rains and the roads get salted in the UK. I had it up and stands, wire brushed it all and used some anti rust paint / rust inhibitor in it (hammerite).

When i get back after this winter im going to waxoly the whole underside after i wire brush and rust pained it all. I used it when undersealing my little MG, its great stuff but very, very messy
