Unhappy UGHHHHH. Cracked head.

Well guys, while having my valves done, my mech discoved i have a cracked head (((((((((( Anyone know where i can get one? i know pick and pull and pick a part, rock auto (quite pricey on this one.)....Any one know i can get one beside these places. Or is anyone selling one? Any help appriciated Thanks guys. (96 5 speed, V6 3.8, S II)

3800s are EVERYWHERE there in so many cars any 3800 series II head will work or you could replace both with the better flowing 3800 series III heads

I scrapped 2 because they had no value, local U-pull would let you have them for like 20 bucks. Thats pretty cheap concidering there worth about 7 in scrap

why did you scrape the heads instead of scrapping them?.........must be a full moon or something because TIG is cracking jokes

anyone got a casting number for these things? Trying to look around for em And about the series III, what would i be looking at on those? Just better flow more performance? Anything major need to be done to make em work?

I got these numbers from the shop that has my Head : G175 and 781. Anything Close?

dont worry about casting numbers every 3800 is exactly the same with the exception of the series and the very few non important changes between FWD and RWD

and the series III heads will bolt right up. i may be wrong but i believe they have bigger valves. but if you do the series III you need to replace both heads

Thats what i figured, Depends on what i come up with first, if i can find the one S-II then im going to go with that, if not ill go with the S-III
