im trying to re install my transmission after i replaced the clutch. for some reason i cant get it back up, its like i need 1 more inch of room to get it up high enough to get the shaft in the throwout bearing. any suggestions on how to do this easier???

Tip up the front of the engine.

My thoughts exactly....amazing how much tilt you can get out of the mounting.

so if i have an engine lift where would be the safest place to attach the hook or chain?

Install the bellhousing first. I think it's6 or 8bolts (I forgot)all around.

Bro, I had the same problem and it was frustrating. I saw that I couldn't get the tranny any higher cuz the bellhousing kept hitting. It was WAAAAAAYYYYYY easier after that.
