Question transmission?

I have a problem with 4th gear or overdrive. I have a strong1,2,3 but when I got to overdrive it feels like it still in third but if I don't give it gas while its in 3rd apperently its in 4th because if u shift down from 4th to third u feel it shift down but u don't feel it shift when u shift from 3 to 4.

If your car has a tach, take a look at the RPM. The RPM should drop as you shift to a higher gear. If the revs go up, then something is slipping.

You should be able to feel 1-2-3-4, those are defined gears. Once in 4th, the torque converter locks up and you might feel it, you might not. I never could notice or feel a difference in lockup with mine, and i really doubt that's what you're not feeling. Shift speed and firmness is related to your gas pedal (throttle) position, so it's quite possible you're not feeling the gentler 3-4 shift because you're not "getting on it" at that point like you may be when it's shifting 1-2-3.
