hey my 97 v6 camaro is having problems with the gears when im in first gear everything is fine but second, third, fourth and fifth when i push the pedal in those gears the rpm's go up to four thousand before it catches if there is any info i woul apreciate it. thanks

 

Id put money on its the clutch, mine did about the same thing, got a new clutch, problem solved. Some transmission shops have free diagnostic, call around and see.

 

ya thats what i figured too. is it hard to do yourself because i work at checker auto and can get the parts for a little cheaper but ive never done a clutch
