trading cars...
not quite sure where to post this but...
recently ive got a guy who wants to trade a 96 formula for my sixer. catch is the formula needs a new rear due to a loose pinion. the car has the ttop option (which mine doesnt) and the body was suprisingly great no rust and no fading of paint ( i have rust on my car, unfortualy a lot) on a side note, i have another guy who wants to sell me a rear end out of a 97 t/a for 150 bucks. is this worth trouble? the formula has 130k miles and my car has 172000 on the body and 90000 on the engine. any inputs would be nice.

Depends on the condition of the engine and tranny, in the formula, how hard it has been run and whether changing the rear end is something that you can do yourself or would have to pay someone to do. If all that is good, I would think having a body with no rust would be a plus. Why is the other owner not fixing the pinion?
welll the owner does a lot of driving in one day and he wants something more economical but wants to stay with the f-body platform. Since he already has a Z, he wants a 6 to drive around...i do have the tools and what not to do this, just time isnt on my side since i now work 56 hours a week...
