Trade or Build?
k guys im pricing everything out and gearin up to do a rebuild on my v6 3.4 this winter and then i came along a 96 z28 with the lt1 that has 85,xxx miles on it and is in great condition. it has all the options id want and everything and is $4800. now im torn cuz i love my current camaro and my custom paint and everything ive wrked on it is hard to give up. but do you guys think it would be better to sell mine and try to get this z or just continue with my original plan to rebuild and keep wrkn it up. my current car has 218000 on it but everything still runs great...any opinions would help...
Really you've got to do what you want to!
But work out the finances, what were/are the plans with this one, what would you do with the other.
The big question is power, I dont know about you but i had a 323i BMW before the 'maro and put a lot of effort into making it nice as a bit more how id like it. However I also wanted a 'maro for a while, so when the opertunity arose when i had the cash from selling a project car i bought it.
If the Z28 is too good to pass I'd go for it. Same car, more power now, and almost endless possibilities, and you can always make it your own and try out new stuff. It really depends if you have that power hunger for the V8.
Hope this helps

$4800 for a 96 Z28 w- decent mileage is not bad.
What were you planning on the rebuild as far as engine, etc? What is your pricing estimate so far?
If you are after an LT1 I would go for the 96 as it has a third the mileage & is 2 years newer than your current 3.4 assuming everything meets your demands on the 96.
Pull the Kicker Subs from the 94 to install in the 96 & throw down some stripes like your 94.
