Default Towing the car.... Bad for it?!?

I was planning on towing my SS from PA to FL on ona those little U-haul deals where just the 2 fronts wheels are up. Someone told me the other day I should thinkin about dropping the driveshaft if im gonna do that. Is hauling like that hard on anything?Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

You should drop the drive shaft. Remember if you pull the drive shaft out the trans fluid will leak out the tail shaft.

When my p/s pulley decided it wanted to rip its bolts out of my bracket AAA came and put the rear end on rollerskates and put two bars that hooked up to the back ofthe truck and hauled it off that way. So no wheels were spinning.

I have never done this but, is there some reason you cant just put the rear wheels on the thing your towing it with? Is the nose of the car to long or something? If not seems like you could just go that way.

My thought is "NO NO NO" you cant tow it backward... I was thinking about that the other day because i need mine towed... To put it this way, its too low and the nose is too long. Could be some damage... (IMO, I dont have proof to back myself up lol) but i wouldnt tow it that way. ever.

Even tow truck guys dont like towing from the back but the last time my car was towed they did w/o damaging anything, it just takes an experienced tow truck driver.

If your not going drive it then spend he extra money and just get a flat bed like mentioned before. thats your best bet.
