Default torque converters?

i have a 2002 ss stock, i was wondering if i put in new 3.73 gears, should i also put in a new torque convertor to compliment the gears? and if so will this make a huge difference in performance?

a tq converter is a great mod for our cars, it will make a big differance. Don't bother with anything less than a 3000 rpm stall.

Can somebody sum up what the whole rpm thing mean with the stall converters? And what exactly is improved by getting an aftermarket one?

Forget SLP for just about anything for our cars. For a converter you want to look for either Yank or Fuddle

same here aleksandr I never really figured out what the whole deal is with the torque converter and gears. I have a V6 so i guess it doesnt make a difference because I dont have anything that needs to be launched too hard

They are over priced and don't make the "best" parts for our cars. People think that just because SLP built the SS's that they some how are a better company than the others.
