Ok guys, I have been looking for a SS convertible and have found some decent deals. I just found this one. The guy has a 99 SS convertible with only 33k miles and hes asking 15k ! He said it was his first real fun car he bought and babied it (no mods, no racing...stock as the day he bought it) He wants to sell b/c he bought a 02 version of the same thing. He wanted the last production year model. It all seems great but of course scares me b/c of the low mileage and he said he hasnt had hardly any offers. Hell, maybe hes on this site. He seems good to me...what do you guys think ?

actually i do think i remember reading this thread already somewhere else.....but i think that is close to blue book value

 

That seems close to book, have look at the car, run a Carfax and go from there.

 

Thanks guys ! I actually had asked about a 2000 SS 'vert with 53k miles and the guy wanted 15k. This is a totally different one. This is a 99 SS 'vert with 33k miles for 15k. I checked KBB and it said 14k. I think the guy is flexible though. From the pics he sent, it looks to be in perfect condition. Thats a good idea about Carfax though. Thanks guys

if you could talk him down to 14,5 to 14,0 you should jump all over that but if you say you found a 2000 SS 'vert for 15,0 you should look towards gettin it then.
