Default tire pressure 1/4 mile

hey just wondering if my cars tire pressure really even plays a big factor in my 1/4 mile times. last time i ran i had around 27 pounds for more traction but my car spins the tires anyways. so would i be better off running with about 35 psi in my tires and just roll into it. cuz wouldnt i achieve a higher mphwithhaving more psi in my tires?

Trap speed is almost completely dependant on the amount of power the car has, launch has little to do with it, so don't expect higher trap speeds. That being said, what you really need to do is check the tire at various intervals to see where you get the widest traction patch and go with that PSI, maybe a little more because the sidewall will squat down on a hard launch. If you're spinning at the start, it sounds like you need to work on your launch technique, practice makes perfect.
