Default tip for the conv

so i replaced my interior speakers in my 95 conv i got a good set of pioneer 6 inch rounds for all 4 but little did i know i needed a low-pro speaker for the rear... when i put up the top the hydraulics mangled the crap out of the speakers they were garbage 60 bucks gone (just checking i tried to return them they said it was my fault no refund) so i was thinking and figured it all out i used 5x7 speakers (had to put new holes in the metal for mounting) and because your trying to put an oval in a round hole it keeps the speaker from going all the way in and the magnet out of the way and the top goes up and down no problems

Glad it didn't tear anything else up. Good info to know (in case I ever get a convertible).

I test-fit my 6.5" speakers, as I thought it would be a problem (the top mechanism already mangled the plastic "guard" around the OEM speaker). Wound up using 3x 1/4" washers under each screw on the speakers to make them move inward.
