Default Time to change my oil

What kind of oil should i get?

CastrolGTX:10w30 (comes in a 5.5qrt jug) $15
Castrol GTX Start up: 10w30 32 oz. $2.49
Castrol GTX High mileage (i have 124,100): 10w30 32 oz. $2.99
Quaker State higher mileage engine formula 75000 plus: 10w30 32oz $2.99

What do you guys think? (Oh and how much should i get?)

I personally would use the high mileage formula. I am guessing you have a V8, so use 5 quarts.

i always used mobile 5000, thought it worked real good, high milage engines and only have to change it every 5000(i still changed it every 3000 tho)

always used puralator 1(the puralators that were blue instead of white) for filters too.

ive already got a new AC/Delco filter.

So does the quaker state sound like the better way to go?

Every 3k and I use full synthetic....IN EVERYTHING! Trans, rear, motor, gas tank. I buy the 5qt at Wally world for $20.

Full Synthetic Mobile 10W30 and a Mobile filter.

whats a good high mileage synthetic? and if i got synthetic would i have to do anything other than just drain the old stuff out and put in the new?

I think 10W40 is a bit thicker so would work better if your oil is leaking a bit (high milage). I have 130k miles on mine and I used 10W30 but i don't seem to have any noticable oil leaks.

Yea, just drain the whole thing and put in the synthetic.
