Default these dyno numbers dont sound right

i have a 2000 camaro ss auto with longtube headers slp intake and catback with 8.5 spark plug wires. It dynod b4 tune only 221.63 hp which sounds really low.after tune it dynod 299.58.they told me it was still throwing a code bc the main o2 sensor needs replaced. Are these accurate or did i get ripped off

O2 sensors tell the computer where the fuel mixture is at. With bad O2 sensors your computer is flying blind. You wasted your money on the tune because there is no way to tune a car if the O2s are not working right. Even if the Dyno had a exhaust sniffer that would be after Cat and not accurate.

Replace you O2 make sure everything else is working in good order then get it tuned again. If your not sure about the age or the condition of your O2 or any other maintinence item on your car you should replace it BEFORE you get it tuned. Tuning a car with a bad Cat, plugged fuel filter, worn out plugs and any other issue is just a waste of money.
