How many miles does it have? Mine don't leak, but a window does (but that's because it's off track). I don't think there's a way to tighten them down tighter (they're already pretty tight). If you do buy it and intend on driving it in the rain it'd be best just to get new seals.
There's some soft, black, spongy tape that I can't think of the name of that might work. You could try tearing some seals off of a vehicle, cut them up and glue them where the t-tops leak. Other than that I can't think of anything else.
The pins on the t-tops drive into receivers front and back, and they are adjustable. You need to carefully remove the windshield pillar trim panelsand the rear trim panels to access the mounting bolts.
Why don't you spray the thing with a hose to find out where and how much they leak. I know that mine are fine with rain and direct pressure from a hose but automatic touchless carwashes get right in(only the high pressure rinse not the soap). When water gets in my car it is actually the seal around the window and at the back edge of wherre the t-top seals meet the seal for the window, they may just not be seated right though
