Junk yard or dealer maybe someone parting out their cars. These cars are not old enough to non-wear items to show up in the after market.

Have you searched this site for leaking T-tops? I know there is some info. The seals do age and sometimes need replaced. Mine where all replaced in in 2008. I still have a small issue in one corner if the front of my car is pointing up hill. But that is caused by the drivers door saging about 1/8"
