i'm new to this forum so if i'm posting in the wrong section or something sorry bout that.
anyways, i have a fourth gen rear end with 3.42 gears that i was planning on swapping into my 92 rs. i've been told that it will fit perfectly as i already have 2 inch spacers on each wheel. i was going to go out and start measuring it but i thought i might get an answer from someone with experience on it. so will it fit nicely or will it take some modifications?
thanks

It'll bolt right in there nicely. One thing I learned doing the swap on my 96 is get that rear end of the car as high as you can. I'm not to sure if you'll need a wheel spacer tho. What year is the rear diff out of?

![Question](https://camaroforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
i have a 98 z28 and a 83, the 83 is rough and just put a 4.10 richmond posi unit in it, i was wondering if there is anyway to put the 83 rear end in my 98. i keep finding post about doing the opposite but would like to keep the 83 axle

All M6 4th gen Fbods came with 3.42 final drive gears. A4 cars received 2.73's unless they had the 3.23 option checked off
