Default swapin it

alright guys i have a rather unique swap i am considering though i want a few opinions on it before attempting it. my goal is to pull my 3.8 outta my 96 and try to drop the 4.3 v6 high output motor that they have in the latest model s10's and blazers. i might sound crazy for consideringthis but im just thinkin of ideas to keep decent gas mileage but still haul *** and whop up on some ricers. or should i might as well just tough it out and get an lt1 or ls1 since im already gonna be doing some work on it. does anyone kno what motor would be easiest to drop in outta the three? id appreciate anything i can get, a punk at my school is talking**** with hisstock 03 acura rsx 5spd. and with 150000 mi on my car and an auto. i don't think i can beat him straight up with my current setup

Something tells me an S10 engine would be designed for a higher torque output than horsepower. While it may be bigger, I don;t think it would suit you well.

I think there are more people who have made more power with the 3800 engines than with the 4.3s. That being said, a force-fed 4.3 made the Scyclone/Typhoon trucks pretty bad-***.

I honestly think you'll be better off building up the 3800 instead of trading out for the 4.3. There is a website around that claims to stroke the 3800 to 4.2 L or so, with nice gains supposedly. No personal experience, but http://www.3800stroked.com/is the website, you can feel free to check them out and let everyone here know if they're any good or full of it.

Check the 3800 mod list post for a bunch of website to check stuff out at. You can get VERY nice heads for the 3800 apparently, which would get you nice power gains.
