Default swap engine

I just bought a Lt1 engine, wiring harness, and computer. I am swapping it for the 3.8 what changes are required for the swap. What I have heard is everything not sure though would like a list of items if possible to get it done. The other question is can you with mods to the engine can you make an lt1 into an ls not sure if blocks are the same.

It's impossible to make an lt1 into an ls1. Essentially, the only thing(s) they have in commonare 8 cylinders.

TA Creations list is incomplete.

did you get a trans with the lt1? you cant use your 3.8. you need to whole front chassis harness, dash harness that goes from the dash the way to the hatch, really you should get a whole dash because pulling it all apart to get the wring out sucks, gauge cluster, throttle cable, cruise cable, drive shaft, rear end, suspension, fuel pump, radiator, fans..thats all i remember off the top of my head, i think thats all of it. you need a parts car, because the only thing that will be left of your car will be the shell, and the tail light wiring. oh yeah, and you have gut your interior 100% to get the dash harness out

I never said the list was complete. Aside from a cruise and a throttle cable, everything else you mentioned was already on there.

I understand you've done it. That's awesome. At the bottom of that link there are a few other of the things you mentioned but didn't. Not all but a few.

***Note - Swaps can be performed in many methods, including and excluding many parts. The charts above are just suggestions of the staff at Trans Am Creations for proper trouble free installation and reliability.

3,8L has twin fans, so why should the fans be different for an LT1 that uses twin fans?

Dash harness? Shouldn't need it. As long as the years aren't too different in this swap. Driveshaft? 3.8L uses a one piece...if not, okay, find one. Rear axle other than teh posi and discs is the same, so not a must initially.
