subwoofer questions

you are better off saving some money a decent amp kit is prob gonna cost you between 60-100 bucks depending on wattage for the amp. your 120 limit is kinda not gonna work unless you just buy piece by piece.

okay Carl if you are still here a buddy of mine said he has a a sub box to give me it is dual 10's and he said that the RMS is around 200watts each he said that he will give it too me for just 50 because he sold his camaro and it fits in the trunk but what I am really want to know is the RMS ok? should I go for something alot better because I do want something with somekind of kick but I really want sound quality.

Those will be fine. Correct me if I am wrong, but the RMS just means the watts that the subs can handle at a constant pace. So the peak wattage is usually quite a bit higher. Just get those and grab an amp that runs at 200 or just under watts....RMS....not peak...and you will be all set.

Okay I got the subs with 200RMS I was just wondering should I try to go for More RMS because I listen to alot of rap? because I do want the lows And I saw on cructchfield they recommended 600RMS for listening to rap

And then you will blow the subs. You do not want to get an amp that has more power than the subs can handle. If you do that you will blow the sub on your first big bass hit. haha. Make sure to just pick up an amp that will be a good match for the speakers. What is the max output of the subs?

the max I think is 300 I know they are 4ohms a piece Heres a picture if it helps any

Its those rockford P1 Punch and ok I will look for a 200watt amp thanks for the help I will let you know how it goes when I start putting the subs and speakers in

But also you don't want to under power the subs either that can ruin them also

roger roger. I just got a 250 Legacy amp so everything is all good I will post a pic after I put the subs in and the new front bumper would this be considered a members project? because there is a lot more I need to do
