Yeah i dont live in a small city, i live in an area where my neighbor got their Suburban stolen right out of their driveway at night. I even got a detachable face plate.

I just put in an Alpine deck, 6 1/2 infinity speakers, and the infinity Basslink.. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392383837. It's only 1 10but it hits really hard and sounds awsome with anything I'm playing and doesn't take up hardly any space. Infact it comes with a remote to control the bass and I never have to turn it up past 25% because I'm afraid my car is going torattle apart. But I mostly listen to rock and every now and then my girlfriend likes to play some rap and it hits nice.

But if you're looking to not only rattle your car apart but anyone who stops around you at a light I'd gowith the Alpine6 1/2s because they handle bass a lot better than the infinitys (but the infinityshave much better highpiches)2 infinity 12s.. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392384210.. powered by a rockford fosgate amp with atleast 600W of power and 2-4 channel for the best bump in town. I was going to go with that system, all but the alpine speakers because I love infinity, but it was about 300 bucks cheaper to go with the basslink that has the built in amp. Plus I knew I wasn't going to need that much bump in my trunk.

 

On a side note.. not trying to high jack.. but i have a pair of 6 1/2 in Pioneer kickers... would they sound better than the stock Bose i have in the doors? max 160w and nominal is 30w.

probably so, i dont really like the bose speakers we have, they have good highs but not so much for the lows...

 

Sparten the kickers would sound better and more clear! As for bens Q..... In my old camaro I had one twelve( JL w3) and a lil 400 watt amp ! I just bought a cheap box from wall mart and it slid in the space perfect where the t tops go! I had the speaker facing back and I have installed a ton of custom stereos and for the money it sound awesome! The plus to that was With my trunk cover down you could never tell I had a stereo. Unless you have tinted windows ...5% I wouldnt recomend putting them in the back area or seats.. and as far as people stealing stereo's 9 times out of ten it is someone you know!!

if you have subs or 6x9s, door speakers should really have bass blockers on them anyway, but if you were to get kickers, kicker is infamous for all their speakers pounding out hard hitting clear bass. but kicker's arent so good in the highs, unless you get some high end ****, but then your better off getting infinity/alpine componets. if youre aftera nice sounding mid-range, and plan on installing tweeters, deffently do kicker, i had 2 sets in my camaro and they rattled the panels loose every 2 or 3 weeks.
