its all about what sounds good to you. If you like more bass, spend more on bass directed products, if you like better clarity spend more on clarity directed products etc. If you have the money just go Alpine all the way around. ive got one 12" JBL and a JBL amp with a kenwood 50x4 deck, stock bose speakers, and the rockford fosgate 8AWG wiring kit and its all i could ever ask for. It blows my old slowstangs two 10s, jensen deckand volt amp out the water.

I have a Kenwood 50x4 headunit too(only like 80 dollars from best buy) and I love it, couldn't ask for more. My amp and subs are both cheap as hell and I would not reccomend Bazooka for anything other than budget projects.

Whatever you go with, I will give you the one piece of advice my brotherand dad both learned while doing my brothers sound system. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE BOX. 30% hardware, 70% box. A crappy box can make the best quality pieces sound like crap. If you can build it yourself, do it.

I have never heard a system sound better than my brothers, and he and my dad built the box themselves. Three separate people at my school took their cars to audio shops, who built the boxes. Now these kids have loud sound systems, with rattles, squeaks, static, and interference. And also, whatever you do, Do NOT cover the box with plexiglass.

Yeah.

Radio, aren't those supposed to be removed to save weight?

Seriously though, you get what you pay for, especially in audio equipment. It all matters on how much you have to spend! Go and ask the opinions of the car-audio guys at Best Buy or Car Toys or something, they work with it all day. If Hisss still came to these boards I'm sure he'd put in his $0.02 about what's best, you could try finding his profile and sending him a PM/e-mail too.
