Starting problem

Starting problem
Hey, my friend has an 02 SS 35th anniversary camaro. It does not want to start. You can turn the key to the "start" position and the starter will crank the motor all day long, but it will not fire. We put a new battery in it, and we checked the fuel rails, there is fuel under pressure in the rails. I really am not a chevy guy at all, but when my friends need help i help them out. Any Ideas??

RE: Starting problem
The main reason for cranking andno start are:
Ignition problems: check for spark
Fuel problems: check fuel pressure and that the injectors are being fired (use NOID lites), check injector fuses.
Mechanical problems: timing chain & gear problems, blown gasketes, etc..
Screwed up security systems.
May want to use a scanner and see what it shows.

RE: Starting problem
Start by checking the CKP (Crank Position) sensor, PCM will not order spark if it does not see a CKP signal. Then check the CMP (Cam position Sensor). The coils should be good being that all 8 of them won't go bad at the same time. Check ignition relay.
