Starter removal

Trying to remove starter from my camaro. DO i have to drop the y pipe or is there any easier way to take it out?

I just did this today because im doing a swap from a 3.4 to a 350 and i got the starter unbolted but then i couldnt squeeze it through so i did end up having to remove the y pipe
