Stalling Problem
Just bought a 2001 camaro convertible 3.8 v6, the check engine soon light was on so we brought it to autozone to get the computer read and it said most likely problem is the gas cap, so we bought a new one and thought everything was good. Was driving it one day and it stalled 3 times, just while driving (not while at a light or anything like that) bought a crank position sensor (cause we had a similar problem with another car and this fixed it) but dont know where it goes or if this is even the solution, pic of part we bought below, anyone have anwsers?

well it can only be one of two locations. front or back. could be on the belhousing for the trans and gets its info fron the flywheel but im thinkin its on the front. better get a repair manual for your car.

The CKP sensor lives behind the front damper on the driver side. The front damper has to be removed to get to the sensor. Get the car scanned again and let us know the code, so you can be sure you need to do all that work.
