So i was wanting to get an SS hood for my 99 and get a flip kit for it to where it opens like the vettes from the opposite way do u guys think that would be pretty cool or should i trash the idea?

Sounds like a pretty bad idea- tons of labor for what is, in my opinion; not a very cool result.

 

The SS hood would look great period. To make it open the other way it would need to open up and have hydraulic risers or something to push it up and away from the car since the front end is preatty full. In my opinion and what I would I would eventually want to do is put on an SS hood and the three piece RS spoiler... you should do that so I can see how it would turn out.

 

yeah def do it, even tho the work may be a tuff, i think it will be worth it.

 

I hope you never plan on working on the engine, it would be damn near impossible with a hood like that. I'd put the money into makin the car faster.

ya but labor wont be hard my boyfriend paints cars for a living so he will paint it to match my car so thats taken care of and puttin the flip kit on it no deal my dad and I can do that ya it might be hard to do but i think it would be tight when its done and as far as makin the car faster nah i just got it for the looks not to make it fast and i already have the 3 piece spoiler on it and the side skirts
