NA 4 cyls get good gas mileage. when u get to the turbos and especially modded, they dont really get any better MPG than a similarly powered car.

I made the switch from a Supercharged Quad4 Cavalier (200 hp, not quite an SRT, but not too far off either) to a V6 Camaro and I'm happier for it, at least as far as the engine is concerned (no choice, I crashed the Cavvy and wanted something different to replace it with). Even my 3.8 pulls as hard at 1500 rpm as my blown 2.4 would at 4000.

Plus RWD is sooooo much more fun.

And, V6 5spd stock 98 'maro gets 29+mpg on the interstate at 75 mph with the A/C running.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I currently drive a 2005 dodge srt-4. It's a great car but I'm starting to see that its kinda pointless in the long run to modify the thing. Front wheel drive cripples the whole car. I'm thinking about buying a late model ss or z28 and I was hoping you guys could help persuade me. The only thing holding me back is i'm just scared to let the little srt go. I'm scared i will miss it if i replace it. Can you guys give me some good reasons why i should buy a camaro and sell the srt? How does much faster is a stock ls1 vs a stock srt-4? How is interior room? I really like the v8+rwd combo that the camaro has to offer. Can you guys help me out here please? I really appreciate it.
If it aint broke don't fix it. If you feel that you need convincing then maybe you should keep your car. Ususally if someone wants to get rid of their car and get something else it's because you hate driving what you have but you sound like you like you car very much. If that's the case then keep it until you do get tired of it. But if you do your going to love the sound and feel of a SS plus the power potential is awsome. I wish I had one. I own an LT1 powered Z andthe Ls1 is a step up from that. Good luck with your decision.
