Default srt-4 owner thinking about a camaro

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I currently drive a 2005 dodge srt-4. It's a great car but I'm starting to see that its kinda pointless in the long run to modify the thing. Front wheel drive cripples the whole car. I'm thinking about buying a late model ss or z28 and I was hoping you guys could help persuade me. The only thing holding me back is i'm just scared to let the little srt go. I'm scared i will miss it if i replace it. Can you guys give me some good reasons why i should buy a camaro and sell the srt? How does much faster is a stock ls1 vs a stock srt-4? How is interior room? I really like the v8+rwd combo that the camaro has to offer. Can you guys help me out here please? I really appreciate it.

Why should you get a Camaro over the SRT-4? Is that even a question!? Here, I'll give you two reasons that should be enough to pursuade anyone...

It's not a Dodge
Low end torque

Enough said...Oh, and it sounds so much better it's not even funny.

The LS1 will be about a second faster stock than an SRT4. A stock LS1 will run low 13's stock with a decent driver.

Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate them. So, in the long run do you guys think i would regret replacing the srt with the ls1 camaro? I know its a dumb question to you guys but the srt-4 is all ive ever known when it comes to performance cars.

yeah no torque, i had a dakota for a while. it would not spin tires for its life....even in sand. my camaro spins them like nothing.

I think the best thing you can do is to drive the LS1 and see if you like it. They drive different than the SRT4, and feel different. They are quite a bit faster and have a ton more low end power than the SRT4.

u will probably miss the turbo spool and sound fo the BOV if u have one. However, then u will realize that at the peak pull of the skittle, u are just about to where the v8 has been the whole time

seriously go drive one

Yea, I had a toyota celica gt before I got my Camaro and I couldnt be happier from the switch...FWD sucks so much. I'll never buy a FWD car again. RWD and lots of torque for me, please.
