Thanks. I just bought a '99 Firebird gauge cluster to experiment with color changes (I hate the red needles and led screen). I'd rather use one that I don't need than try it on the one I DO need. Plus, it has the trim around the gauges which I've been looking at getting anyway.

Awesome. Every time I've gone to the junk yard, they would have some earlier 4th gens, but they were all completely gutted. Every one of them. So I've never had much luck with that route. I bought the cluster off ebay. Good luck with the painting, hope it turns out the way you want it. Just remember to prep them well.

I painted it. Luckily, my headliner was in great shape, just stained from the previous owner being a hardcore smoker. Headliner material itself is expensive ($50+ for a roll) and I didn't have enough of any of my other fabrics to cover it. If yours is in that bad of shape, maybe you should look into getting one off of someone who is parting out their car (I've noticed there's a bunch of 4th gens right now being parted out on here) so it would probably be cheaper to get a new one instead of trying to recover that mess your describing. Trying to add more foam and add new fabric would end up being more of a pain than just replacing it.

Tinted the windows. Turned out like garbage for the hatch. Tint stopped sticking, so I had to duct tape it down. Pics aren't the greatest quality, taken quickly with the phone.

I hate to be the old man of the site but you do know that type of tint is against the Law here in PA? At least from the drivers window forward. It is for back windows only. You can have tinted windows but they must be OEM or tinted by a DOT approved source. Approved aftermarket tinters are required to stamp a small seal in the corner of the window to prove the tint is legal. I don't know about the York cops but the State cops can see that stick on tint a mile away.
